-International Council of Museums (www.icom.museum) Art is an Individual member and participates on the INTERCOM committee, which focuses on international management issues. He is a past member of the ICOM-US board of trustees and was a U.S. representative to the ICOM 50th Anniversary in Paris, 1996. He has participated in ICOM Triennial Conferences in Buenos Aires (1986) and Stavanger (1995).

-American Association of Museums (www.aam-us.org) Art is an Independent Professional member and participates on the Committee on Audience Research and Evaluation (CARE), the Museum Management Committee (MMC), the Native Americans and Museums Collaboration PIC, and the Latino Network PIC. He is a former AAM Board Member and Accreditation Commissioner and has been a member of the Museum Advocacy Team (MAT) since 1991.

-American Association for State and Local History (www.aaslh.org) Art is an Individual member and was a member of the Governance team that helped to create the new AASLH standards for history museums.

-Mountain-Plains Museums Association (www.mpma.net) WOLF Consulting is a Corporate Member, sponsoring scholarships for Native American museum professionals, and Art chairs the MPMA Advocacy Committee. WOLF Consulting is a sponsor of the 2009 Annual Meeting in Cheyenne, WY, October 5-9.
